Rosemary Gantly


Rosemary qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and has worked in General Practice with a focus on the areas on Family Law and Child Law since qualifying.  Through her work with Legal Aid Board Rosemary became deeply involved with families in crisis and this experience was transferred to the area of Child Law when she set up her own  practice in 1996. 

Rosemary is passionate about and extremely committed to her work and her primary goal is always to ensure that each client is given a professional and efficient service.

Rosemary continues to specialise in the areas of Family law, and child care law. When representing family law clients, Rosemary is conscious of the negative effects of protracted litigation on all members of the family. Rosemary takes a pragmatic approach endeavours to work with clients and colleagues to reach a resolution where possible without the necessity to issue court proceedings.

In  the area of Child Law, Rosemary specialises in representing Guardian ad Litem’s appointed by the Court to communicate the views of the child to the Court having been involved in many significant cases in relation to Child Law, Mental Health Law and Human Rights, Family and Child Law matters.  Rosemary provides an expert service to her clients and recognises the urgency which is often involved in Child Law cases.

Rosemary has addressed a number of conferences in the area of Child Law, she is a qualified mediator and a member of the East Coast Collaborative Family Law Group.

Rosemary is an active member of the DSBA, Wicklow Solicitors Association, East Coast CFLG, Family Lawyers Association and the Association of Lawyers for Children.

Gina Cleary

Gina joined Rosemary Gantly Solicitors in September 2015, having trained and qualified into the Health Services Team, with a specialist area in Child Care Law with a large Dublin law firm.

Gina also worked in the Public and Regulatory Law Department of another large firm advising professional regulatory bodies in relation to all aspects of practice and procedure.

Gina has extensive experience advising and representing in relation to child protection, mental health, Judicial Review, adoption, public administrative law and wardship matters.  Gina now mainly acts on behalf of Guardian ad Litems, independent Court officers who express the wishes and opinions of a child before the Courts.

Gina has extensive Court experience including the District Court, Circuit Court, High Court and Supreme Court.

Deborah Kearney

Deborah joined Rosemary Gantly Solicitors in 2016. Prior to this she was an associate solicitor in the private client department of a Dublin firm focusing on family law, conveyancing, as well as wills, probate and family law with a particular specialism in surrogacy. Deborah also spent a number of years working as an in house solicitor and legal consultant for a company specialising in advising charities and trusts. Having qualified as a solicitor in 2008 Deborah has since completed the Law Society's Diploma in Family Law as well as the internationally recognised STEP (Society of Trust and Estates Practitioner) Diploma.

In keeping with her private client specialism, Deborah's role in this firm is particularly focused on family law, wills, probate and elder law matters, personal injury litigation as well as residential conveyancing. Deborah also acts in many of the firm's childcare cases.

Sinead McLoughlin

Sinead is our Office Manager having gained over 30 years experience in busy legal offices as a secretary and PA. Sinead is our longest standing member of staff. She provides invaluable legal secretarial and support services to all members of the Rosemary Gantly team and clients. Along with our dedicated secretarial team Sinead is an important link between the solicitor dealing with your case and you, the client.
